Jennifer Aniston's '90s Hair Might Just Be a Lighting Trick, but We Still Love It

Turns out that “the Rachel” isn’t the only ’90s hair trend that Jennifer Anistoncan totally rock.
Thanks to some tricky lighting, it looked like the actress was sporting a new, bleach-y ‘do when her pal and makeup artist Gucci Westman shared a shot of Aniston and her hairdresser, Chris McMillan, on Instagram Friday.

“Love these two so much,” Westman wrote, adding hearts and “@mrchrismcmillan #Jen Aniston.”
The look — while not real — should be instantly recognizable to anyone who came of age in the ’90s or early 2000s — two strips of platinum blond hair that frame the face. It’s a unisex hair trend that spread amongst all sorts of cool-kid types during the era thanks to models in the pages of SassyYM anddELiA*s catalogs. Of course, the most famous person who wore the hairstyle was Smashing Pumpkins’ James Iha.
