C-3PO's Red Arm In Force Awakens Explained

Spoiler Alarm for Star Wars: The Power Stirs ahead. 

There are a huge amount of question marks that Star Wars fans were left with after the credits of The Power Stirs rolled. One of the inquiries rotating around the first characters was to be specific: what's the arrangement with C-3PO's red arm?

As opposed to holding breath for a considerable length of time till Scene VIII is discharged, the convention droid will be the center of a standard comic book piece.
